Biography:

Ryan began his professional relationship with UBC as an outside stakeholder while providing Vocational Consulting Services in the private sector. In late 2006, he began to provide on call coverage for their internal Vocational Clinicians. In 2008 he gladly accepted a full time position with UBC, Inc. as a member of their Interdisciplinary Clinical Team and the Business Development Manager. In his current role, Ryan is tasked with program development, implementation and improvement, provides clinical vocational services, oversees marketing, leads UBC's Community Reintegration Team and is a member of the Upper Management Team.

Education:

Ryan received his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology/Criminology from Western Washington University in 1998 and obtained Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS) credentials in 2007. He has also obtained multiple certificates associated with Business Development, Sales, and Corporate Training since that time.

Professional Background:

Ryan is a registered Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with Washington State. Prior to his employment at UBC, Ryan worked for five years as a Private Sector Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor working on State Fund and Self-Insured cases. He is currently involved with several industry associations and assists with planning conferences and the development of educational opportunities. More formally, he is President Elec. (2012) for The Washington State Chapter of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (WA. IARP) and Membership Chair Person for the Greater Seattle/Washington Chapter of The Disability Management Employers Coalition (DMEC).
